When Anthony Wentworth found out that he had matched five numbers in the Mega Millions drawing, he had one thought. “If I had matched one more number, I would have hit the jackpot and been able to make a movie out of the screenplay I wrote.” Still, Wentworth was very pleased with the $250,000 prize that he did win. The Clare resident plans to use the money to fund his retirement and buy a new car.

The winning ticket was sold by Speedway #8726 located at 9898 S. Clare Ave. in Clare.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers.
