LANSING, June 2, 2011 – Finalists for the Michigan Lottery’s Cash Tournament Second-Chance $250,000 grand prize drawing, scheduled for Monday, June 27, have been selected.
The finalists are from the following cities:
- Norton Shores
- Sterling Heights
- Owosso
- Livonia
- Wyoming
Finalists qualified for the drawing by entering non-winning Cash Tournament™ tickets on the Lottery’s Player’s Club Web site, www.michiganlottery.com . The five lucky finalists were chosen from a pool of 102,307 entries.
The grand prize drawing will be conducted at fireworks at the International Freedom Festival in downtown Detroit on Monday, June 27. The drawing will be televised live on WDIV Detroit Local 4 immediately following the fireworks display.
Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was $701.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
