LANSING, October 25, 2010 – A $285,507 Fantasy 5 Jackpot was claimed Wednesday October 20 at Lottery Central in Lansing.

The jackpot ticket is part of an array of winners from the Saginaw area, including an additional Fantasy 5 winner of $151,446 from St. Charles; a Mega Millions winner of $250,000 from Saginaw; and a huge $2 Million winner from the Michigan Lottery’s “Make Me Rich!” episode, which aired October 1, also from Saginaw.

The anonymous winner purchased the lucky winning ticket at Franks Super Market, 1045 W. Broad St., in Chesaning.

Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was nearly $700 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
