Another Saginaw winner!

LANSING, October 20, 2010 – Saginaw County is a very lucky place for Lottery players to purchase tickets this month!

For the third time this month, a winner from Saginaw County claimed a huge prize! The latest winner, who opted to remain anonymous, matched all five numbers in the Oct. 19 Fantasy 5 drawing and won a $151,446 jackpot.

The anonymous winner purchased the lucky winning ticket at M&D Foodstore, 2501 E. Genesee Ave., in Saginaw.

Last week, Michael Guiette of St. Charles matched the first five numbers in the Mega Millions game and won a whopping $250,000!

At the beginning of the month, Jean Morrison of Saginaw was the lucky winner of a $2 million prize after competing in the forth episode of “Make Me Rich!”, the Lottery’s game show. “Make Me Rich!”, which aired on Friday, October 1, was hosted by Christopher Knight, best known for his role as Peter Brady on the 1970s hit TV series “The Brady Bunch” and most recently as host of “Trivial Pursuit America Plays.”

Morrison earned the right to appear on the show after winning $1,000 on one of the Michigan Lottery’s $20 Instant games, making her eligible for the $2 million prize.

Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was nearly $700 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
