LANSING, June 1, 2010 – One lucky Michigan Lottery player has won Saturday night’s $2.5 million Classic Lotto 47 jackpot!

The winning ticket, with the numbers 06 11 20 27 36 40, was sold at the Next Door Store, 629 S. Mission St., in Mt. Pleasant. The winner should contact the Michigan Lottery’s Public Relations Division at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim the prize.

In total, 8,981 players were winners in Saturday night’s drawing, with prize amounts ranging from $5 to the jackpot.

Over 98.5 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2009, the contribution to schools was $724.5 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
