LANSING, October 1, 2009 – One lucky Michigan Lottery player has won last night’s $2.9 million Classic Lotto 47 jackpot!

The winning ticket, with the numbers 02  05  06  10  22  27, was sold at Livonia Drugs, Inc., 33525 5 Mile Rd., in Livonia. The winner should contact the Michigan Lottery’s Public Relations Division at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim the prize.

In total, 14,452 players were winners in last night’s drawing, with prize amounts ranging from $5 to the jackpot.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was $740.7 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
