Ortonville man claims $300,000!

LANSING, November 24, 2008 – Edward Zoldos of Ortonville is the lucky winner of a $300,000 top prize on the Super Red Hot Cashword Instant ticket. Zoldos called his wife immediately after he scratched off six red words and won the top prize.

Zoldos said the money “couldn’t have come at a better time.”  He plans to pay bills and help his kids with the prize money

The lucky ticket was purchased at Shri Khodiyar Corp., 15 N. Ortonville Rd., in Ortonville.

Super Red Hot Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
