LANSING, November 24, 2008 – A very lucky regular Lottery player didn’t believe his luck when all five of his Fantasy 5 numbers were picked in the October 28 drawing. He told Lottery officials he was “stunned” with his $185,191 win.

The anonymous Madison Heights winner plans to share a little of his wealth with his children and invest the rest.

The lucky winning easy-pick ticket was purchased at Madison Discount Beverage, 1450 W. 13 Mile Rd. , in Madison Heights.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2008, the contribution to schools was over $740 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
