LANSING, October 29, 2008 – Bryce Gilliam, a long-time Lottery player from Southfield, could not believe his luck when he found out he won $10,000 in the October 24 Mega Millions game. The lucky winner matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number.
Gilliam hid the easy-pick ticket in his wallet before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Sterling Heights regional office.
The lucky winning ticket was purchased at N&A Oil Company Inc., 31001 N. Woodward Ave., in Royal Oak.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
