Over $21 million now up for grabs!

LANSING, February 14, 2008 – The 17th largest jackpot in Michigan Lottery history could be yours! The Classic Lotto 47 has grown to $21.4 million for Saturday night’s drawing.

The Classic Lotto 47 jackpot starts at $1 million and grows by at least $100,000 each time the jackpot is not won.

This jackpot has been increasing since the last Classic Lotto 47 win in July 2007 when a winning ticket worth $12.6 million was sold in Wayne.

Wednesday’s winning numbers were 08 14 17 32 38 42. Twenty-four lucky players matched five of six numbers to win $2,500 each.

The next Classic Lotto 47 drawing is Saturday at 7:29 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at any Lottery retailer and sales for Saturday’s 7:29 p.m. drawing will close at 7:08 p.m. that night.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
