72-year-old wins $10,000

LANSING, February 14, 2008 – Violet Finn is a very lucky Casco resident. The regular Mega Millions player won $10,000 after matching four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number in the Feb. 8 drawing!

Finn learned of her good fortune from the Lottery’s Web site. She plans to use her easy pick winnings on her family. She has 10 children and 29 grandchildren!

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Kortes IGA Inc., 22960 Main St., in Armada.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers.
