Super Red Hot prize claimed

LANSING, November 21, 2007 – A very “shocked” woman from Kalamazoo is $300,000 richer, thanks to the Michigan Lottery’s Super Red Hot Cashword instant game.

The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, told Lottery officials that she’s a huge Cashword player and this is her first big win on the game.

She plans on giving her family a nice Christmas, providing for her children and purchasing a new house with her prize money.

The lucky winning ticket, that “mom hid” before claiming at Lottery Central, was purchased at Harding’s Market #397, 1000 E. Cork St., in Kalamazoo.

Super Red Hot Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
