Prize winning payments continue for Raffle winners

LANSING, October 24, 2007 – Lucky Michigan Lottery Super Raffle winners continue to claim their prizes!

On Wednesday, six winners walked away from Lottery Headquarters with their $100,000 prizes.

An anonymous Grandville player, who purchased a ticket a ticket at the Meijer in Grandville, will use the funds to pay school loans.

An anonymous Midland winner was left breathless after winning on a ticket purchased at Bobbie’s Pineview Party Store in Midland.  The winner has no plans for the money yet.

An anonymous winning from Bath has no plans on how to spend the prize money from a ticket purchased at the Draft House in DeWitt.

An anonymous winner from Saginaw, who purchased her ticket at the Marathon in Taylor, was shocked to learn of her win on the Lottery’s Web site.  Her church, house and children will be among those who share in the good luck.

An anonymous winner from Brownstown, who purchased a lucky ticket at the Meijer in Woodhaven, will pay bills and do “something smart” with the prize money.

An anonymous player from Grand Rapids, who purchased his winning ticket at Elliott’s Cigar in Grand Rapids, enjoyed “bragging” to his friends at work about his luck.  The prize money will go for a variety of uses, including paying off the house and credit cards—and a new pair of shoes!

Earlier in the week, the Super Raffles top two prizes of $2 million were collected by Kendall Stevens of Marlette on a ticket purchased at Murphy’s USA in Sandusky, and by an anonymous winner who purchased a ticket at Van’s Party Store in Eastpointe.

Six prizes of $100,000 have also been claimed.

An anonymous winner who purchased a ticket from Tobacco Superstore in Farmington Hills; an anonymous St. Clair Shores winner who purchased a ticket at Jefferson Liquor in St. Clair Shores; an anonymous winner who purchased a ticket from Jan’s Party Store in Bay City; an anonymous Kalamazoo club who purchased a ticket from Portage Road Shell in Portage; an anonymous winner, from Eaton Rapids, who purchased a winning ticket at Felpausch in Eaton Rapids; and Barbara Reinke of St. Charles who bought her ticket at the Kroger store on Gratiot in Saginaw.

Monday’s Super Raffle drawing was for two $2 million prizes (annuitized), 25 $100,000 prizes and 4,500 $500 prizes.  The Super Raffle was the fifth Raffle game offered by the Lottery.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
