LANSING, September 14, 2007 – Longine Morawski is a very lucky Mega Millions player! The Grosse Pointe Park man won a whopping $10,000 after matching four white ball numbers and the gold ball number on Sept. 4.
The 55-year-old regular Lottery player has no immediate plans for his prize money. He enjoys photography in his free time.
The lucky easy pick ticket was purchased at Wine Village Party Store, 15005 E. 13 Mile Rd., in Warren.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
