LANSING, September 11, 2007 – Guadalupe Trejo won an astonishing $10,000 after four of her white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number came up!
The Mega Millions winner was surprised to see her numbers from the Aug. 28 game posted on the Lottery’s Web site. She plans to take a vacation and save the rest of her prize money. The lucky woman has only been playing for the last three months and this is her largest win to date!
The lucky Saginaw woman purchased the lucky winning own pick ticket at 7-Eleven, 803 S. Wheeler St., in Saginaw.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
