LANSING, August 31, 2007 – A whopping $463,488 was claimed after one lucky winner matched all five numbers in the August 14 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The longtime Lottery player got a call from a co-worker while driving to his office and once he arrived he learned that someone had purchased a winning ticket in the building where he works.  He didn’t know that someone was him!

The easy pick winner plans to use the prize money to pay bills, take care of some home repairs and invest for retirement.

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Jordan’s, 26913 Northwestern #1, in Southfield.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
