LANSING, August 31, 2007 – Seven lucky winners have claimed the $250,000 second tier prize from the August 17 Mega Millions drawing.

The WAB Inc. Lottery club matched all five white ball numbers, without matching the Mega ball number, to win the prize.

The club has only been playing together since June and this is their only large win to date.  They are a professional group that plays Mega Millions together weekly.

The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Sunoco, 6010 Fenton Rd., in Flint.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
