LANSING, July 20, 2007 – Perl Herkimer and her partner are now two lucky winners!  They matched eight of eight number in the Lottery’s Club Keno game to win a $10,000 prize!  They also won a $2 prize on another line, bringing their total up to $10,002!

The lucky winner and her partner are regular Lottery players who always play their birthday numbers along with their ages.  The pair plan on purchasing furniture with their prize money.  Herkimer enjoys cutting grass in her free time.

The winning own pick ticket was purchased at Little Brown Jug, 7697 Bluebush Rd., in Maybee.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
