Scottville woman wins $10,000 prize

LANSING, July 13, 2007 – Lisa Murchie is a very lucky woman! The self-employed restaurant owner won $10,000 after scratching a lucky Mom’s the Word instant ticket.

The regular Lottery player was in disbelief when she revealed her big win. She hid the lucky winning ticket in her pocket before cashing it at one of the Lottery’s regional offices. She has no immediate plans for her prize money.

The winning ticket was purchased at State Street E-Z Mart, 101 E. State St., in Scottville.

Mom’s the Word is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
