LANSING, July 9, 2007 – Michigan will have six new millionaires Wednesday when the Michigan Lottery draws the winning numbers in its third Millionaire Raffle.
In addition to the six $1 million prizes, the drawing, which will be at 9 a.m., will award 12 prizes of $100,000 and 2,000 prizes of $500 each. Only 600,000 tickets were sold in the Raffle, making it the best odds ever to win a $1 million Michigan Lottery prize.
Players can check the Lottery’s Web site at https://www.michiganlottery.com on Wednesday afternoon or visit a Michigan Lottery retailer or Lottery regional office to check their Millionaire Raffle ticket numbers. The top six prize winning numbers will be announced during Wednesday evening’s Michigan Lottery drawing broadcast at 7:29 p.m.
Players with winning tickets of either $1 million or $100,000 will need to contact the Lottery at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim their prize. The $500 prize can be claimed at any Michigan Lottery retailer.
All proceeds from the Millionaire Raffle, as well as from all other Lottery games, are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
