LANSING, July 5, 2007 – Good things come to those who wait! After weeks of watching the jackpot grow, one lucky ticket matched all six numbers for the largest Classic Lotto 47 prize ever!

One winning ticket, worth a whopping $12.6 million, was sold in Wednesday night’s Classic Lotto 47 drawing.

The winning numbers were 15- 21- 32- 37- 38- 43. Nineteen winners matched five of six numbers to win $2,500 each. Saturday’s jackpot is $1 million.

The $12.6 million jackpot is the largest in the history of Classic Lotto 47. The previous record jackpot in Classic Lotto 47, which was $7,691,973, was won on October 18, 2006 by a player from Sterling Heights. The game began in May 2005.

Classic Lotto 47 is a six-digit game drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays. Jackpots begin at $1 million and increase by $100,000 in every drawing. Classic Lotto 47 tickets can be purchased at any Lottery retailer and sales for Wednesday night’s drawing will close at 7:08 p.m. on Saturday.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
