Flint man in disbelief after win

LANSING, June 26, 2007 – Tim Sutherby is a very lucky Mega Millions player!  He matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball to win a $10,000 third-tier prize!

Sutherby learned of his good fortune from the Lottery’s Web site and told Lottery officials that he was in “disbelief” after realizing he had a winning ticket.

He plans to pay bills and golf a little more with his prize money.

The lucky winner purchased the easy pick ticket at Meijer #28, 4333 W. Pierson Rd., in Flint.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
