LANSING, June 21, 2007 – James Gorecki of Clinton Township had a star of a ticket when he scratched a winning Lucky Stars game worth $10,000!
The winner, who has been playing the Lottery for 20 years, said he was in shock. He hid the ticket under a chair and plans to use the prize money to pay bills.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sharon’s Short Stop, 41910 Hayes Rd., in Clinton Township.
Lucky Stars is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
