LANSING, June 7, 2007 – Saturday’s Classic Lotto 47 jackpot has reached new heights!  The prize is now $10.1 million, over $3 million greater that the previous record prize!

There were nine tickets sold last night matching five of six numbers to win $2,500 each.  Wednesday’s winning numbers were 14-18-23-24-32-46.  The next drawing is Saturday.

Classic Lotto 47 is a six digit game drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Jackpots begin at $1 million and increase by $100,000 in every drawing.

The previous record jackpot in Classic Lotto 47, which was launched May 15, 2005, was $7,691,973, which was won on October 18, 2006 by a player from Sterling Heights.

Classic Lotto 47 tickets can be purchased at any Lottery retailer and sales for Wednesday night’s drawing will close at 7:08 p.m. on Wednesday.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
