LANSING, June 1, 2007 – Michigan’s largest Classic Lotto 47 jackpot could be yours!  The record $9.4 million is up for grabs in Saturday’s Classic Lotto 47 drawing.

Classic Lotto 47 is a six digit game drawn Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Jackpots begin at $1 million and increase by $100,000 in every drawing.  The game began May 15, 2005.

The previous record jackpot was $7,691,973, which was won on October 18, 2006 by a player from Sterling Heights.

Classic Lotto 47 tickets can be purchased at any Lottery retailer and sales for tomorrow’s drawing will close at 7:08 p.m. on Saturday.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
