LANSING, May 15, 2007 – Mike Zydorczyk had a very lucky trip to Michigan! The Toledo, Ohio man played the Mega Millions game and won a whopping $10,000! He matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball number in the May 1 drawing to win the prize.
Zydorczyk plans to use the prize money to pay off some bills and donate a little to charity. In his free time he enjoys bowling, golfing, building, and putting together puzzles.
The regular Lottery player purchased the winning easy pick ticket at Clip’s Carry Out, 6218 Memorial Hwy, in Ottawa Lake.
Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
