LANSING, March 14, 2007 – Spelling his way to $35,000 was easy for a very lucky Greenville man who claimed his prize for the scratch off win.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he hid the winning ticket in his sock drawer before claiming his prize at the Lottery office in Wyoming.
He plans to use the money to pay medical bills. The longtime member of the American Leigon purchased the ticket at Greenville EZ Mart, 115 E. Washingon St., in Greenville.
Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
