LANSING, March 15, 2007 – If you want one, go get one, because they won’t last long! Millionaire Raffle tickets are selling at nearly double the pace of the first Raffle game.
The tickets, which cost $20 each, are on sale at all Lottery retailers until the 600,000 tickets are sold out! As of mid-morning, only 250,000 tickets remain.
“We are astounded at how fast players are buying these tickets. It is great to bring such a popular game, with the best chances to win $1 million to our players!” said Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters.
The Millionaire Raffle has six top prizes of $1 million, 12 prizes of $100,000 and a whopping 900 prizes of $1,000!
The Raffle game, which went on sale Monday at 6 a.m., will sell only 600,000 tickets. Once the 600,000 are sold, sales will close on the game.
The Millionaire Raffle drawing will be conducted on April 20 when 918 lucky numbers will be drawn. The $1 million prizes will be announced during the evening drawing and all other winning numbers will be available through the Lottery’s Web site https://www.michiganlottery.com/ and at Lottery retailers and regional offices.
All proceeds from the Michigan Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
