Woman cashes in with $250,000 Cashino win

LANSING, January 22, 2007 – A very lucky woman from Holly won $250,000, simply by scratching a Cashino Instant ticket!

The regular Lottery player was in shock after scratching her winning ticket in her car.  She immediately went to a retailer who verified that she had really won the top prize on the game.  After telling her husband, they were both “very excited” about the win.

The woman and her husband plan to invest the prize money.  The lucky lady is a local business owner who enjoys golfing in her free time.

The winning Instant ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven 100H, 1633 W. Atherton Rd., in Flint.

Cashino is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
