$300,000 Texas Hold ‘Em prize claimed

LANSING, January 22, 2007 – An anonymous Pittsford man claimed a whopping $300,000 prize from a Texas Hold ‘Em Instant ticket.

This is the largest win to date for the man, who has played the Lottery since it’s inception in 1972. He and his wife were “in shock” after learning of his big win.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Team One Food Store, 240 S. Broad St., in Hillsdale.

Texas Hold ‘Em is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
