Milford woman wins big

LANSING, January 11, 2007 – Krista-Ann Booker is a very lucky lady!  She matched four white balls, plus the Mega ball in the December 29 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000!

Booker, who plays the Mega Millions game regularly, said she was screaming when she saw her numbers on the Lottery’s Web site.

She hid the ticket under her computer keyboard and plans to save her money.

The lucky easy pick winning ticket was purchased at US 2 GO, 30560 Milford Rd., in New Hudson.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
