$10,000 prize claimed

LANSING, January 11, 2007 – A Southfield woman was “shocked” when she matched four white ball numbers, plus the Mega ball, in the December 26 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000!

Pamela Pressley hid her winning ticket in her home before claiming her prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights.

Pressley plans to use the money to pay bills.  The winning easy pick winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven #29008, 8834 Telegraph Rd., in Redford.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
