LANSING, November 27, 2006 – A very lucky Montrose man claimed $300,000 after he scratched a winning Super Red Hot Cashword Instant ticket.
The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plans to use the money to pay bills. He has been playing the Cashword game for about five years and was in disbelief about his win.
The winning ticket was purchased at Conlee Service Station #3, 815 S. Mill St., in Clio.
Super Red Hot Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
