LANSING, November 3, 2006 – A very lucky homemaker from Warren claimed a $10,000 prize after scratching a winning $200,000 Cash Instant game.
Mary Harris, who plans to use her prize money to pay bills, said she hid the ticket in a drawer before cashing it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights.
The winning ticket was purchased at Speedway #8540, 32123 Van Dyke Ave., in Warren.
$200,000 Cash is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
