LANSING, November 3, 2006 – Darrin Johnson is a very lucky guy!  He matched four white ball numbers, plus the Mega ball in the October 27 Mega Millions drawing to win $10,000.

Johnson, who has been playing Mega Millions since the game began, said he was in disbelief when learning of his good fortune. 

The lucky easy-pick ticket was purchased at Tommy D Party Store, 16325 E. 11 Mile Rd., in Roseville.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
