Lucky winner claims $200,000

LANSING, August 1, 2006 – A very lucky Wayland woman is $200,000 richer after she scratched a winning $200,000 Cash Instant ticket.

The longtime player, who opted to remain anonymous, has played the Lottery for about 20 years, although she only plays once and a while.

She plans to use the money to pay bills and buy a new car.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Byron’s Shell, 8391 Byron Center Ave., in Byron Center.

$200,000 Cash is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
