LANSING, July 6, 2006 – A lucky regular Lottery player hit it big when he scratched off a Cashword ticket worth $35,000!
The winner was “overjoyed” with his good fortune and hid the ticket in his pocket before cashing it in at the Lottery’s Wyoming office. He plans to use his winnings for a home improvement project. In his free time, the lucky winner enjoys fishing.
The ticket was purchased at Singh Self Service, 2091 Territorial Rd., in Benton Harbor.
Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
