Winner claims $20,000

LANSING, June 21, 2006 – A very lucky Shelby Township man is $20,004 richer after winning with the Michigan Lottery Club Keno game!

The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plans to use the prize money to pay for college for his son.

He was “jumping up and down” when his numbers appeared on the screen.  The lucky player has been playing the Lottery for about two years.

The winning ticket was purchased at Rosie O’Grady’s, 42012 Hayes Rd., in Clinton Township.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
