LANSING, October 21, 2003 – The Michigan Lottery recently conducted the Grand Prize “Bonus Drawing” for it’s Harley-Davidson® instant game, and is proud to announce that Brian Burkett of Twin Lake is the grand-prize winner of a Harley-Davidson ® Heritage Softail® Classic Motorcycle!
Lottery officials were able to speak to the winner after the drawing.
“Are you kidding me?” Burkett, who works as a prototype technician at Track Corp in Spring Lake, said. “I am shocked that I won. I can’t believe this!”
The 39-year-old winner, who enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing in his free time, said he immediately shared the great news of his win with his wife, Lisa, and their four children. Upon hearing the news, they all began screaming with excitement!
Burkett’s winning entry included non-winning Harley-Davidson® instant tickets purchased at Car-Go Food & Fuel Inc., 5536 Holton Road, in Twin Lake.
The winner said he submitted 25 entries into the bonus drawing, so he felt very lucky to have one of his entries pulled as the grand-prize winner!
Burkett offered the following words of wisdom to other Lottery hopefuls: “You have got to play to win! You never know when it might be your lucky day!”
