LANSING, April 11, 2003 – A lucky Saginaw man recently raked in some extra of dough after matching all five numbers in the April 4 Michigan Rolldown drawing, winning a $17,485 jackpot prize! That day’s winning numbers were: 2, 11, 17, 27 and 31.

In total for the April 4 drawing, 19,097 winners shared $59,397 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 68 winners matched four numbers to win a $105 prize; 1,968 winners matched three numbers to win a $9 prize; and 17,060 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.

The 61-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, purchased the winning ticket at 7-Eleven #038B, 5065 W. Michigan Ave., in Saginaw.

"I saw the winning numbers broadcast on television," said the lucky retiree.

He said he kept the winning ticket on a desk in his home before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Bridgeport. While the happy winner said he enjoys traveling in his spare time, he plans to use his winnings to purchase a new car.

The first Michigan Rolldown drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. The cost to play is $1.00 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
