LANSING, April 10, 2003 – Earl Pegues Jr. of Saginaw is rolling in dough after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Big Bucks" instant game ticket to reveal a $10,000 top prize!
Pegues purchased the winning ticket at Stop N Shop #1, 1227 Janes Ave., in Saginaw.
The 58-year-old winner said he was excited to win such a large prize!
Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Bridgeport, he said he kept it locked in a safe.
Pegues, who enjoys drag racing in his spare time, said he currently has no special plans for his winnings.
"Big Bucks" is a bonus instant game that was distributed to 3,700 Michigan Lottery retailers who demonstrated outstanding sales performance. A variety of other Michigan Lottery instant games are available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
