LANSING, October 22, 2002 – – Joan Byas-White of Pontiac was speechless upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Super 6s" instant game ticket to reveal a $6,000 top prize!

The 44-year-old winner, who works as a postal clerk at the Royal Oak Post Office, purchased the winning ticket at 7-Eleven #17313, 2910 John R Road, in Troy.

"I am very happy that I won," said the lucky lady. "This money could not have come at a better time for me."

Byas-White, who enjoys singing and crocheting in her spare time, said she brought the winning ticket directly into the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights upon scratching it off to claim her prize. She said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.
