Patricia Dobrzelewski of Sterling Heights Rakes In The Dough With Lottery's Michigan Rolldown Game!

LANSING, August 27, 2002 – Patricia Dobrzelewski of Sterling Heights said she was "stunned but ecstatic" to learn she had matched all five numbers in the August 15 Michigan Rolldown drawing to win the $15,447 jackpot! The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 3, 10, 13, 17 and 27.

In total for the August 16 Michigan Rolldown drawing, there were 17,940 winners who shared $53,150 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, there were 78 winners who matched four numbers for a prize of $81; 1,932 winners who matched three numbers for a prize of $8; and 15,929 winners who matched two numbers for the $1 prize.

The 66-year-old retiree purchased the winning Michigan Rolldown ticket at Speedway #2344, 2980 John R Road, in Troy.

The lucky lady, who enjoys working on ceramics projects in
her free time, said she saw the winning numbers while watching the Michigan Rolldown drawing on WDIV-TV 4.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights, the winner said she kept it hidden behind a photograph of her mother to ensure its safety. Dobrzelewski said she plans to use her winnings to make home improvements.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held Monday, February 28, 2000. Drawings are conducted six days a week — Monday through Saturday — at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at the more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
