LANSING, July 17, 2002 – A lucky Ann Arbor man matched all five numbers in the July 13 Michigan Rolldown drawing to win a $15,597 jackpot prize! The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 4, 10, 13, 23 and 29.
In total for the July 13 Michigan Rolldown drawing, 16,532 winners shared $52,560 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 64 winners matched four numbers to win a $100 prize; 1,762 winners matched three numbers to win a $9 prize; and 14,705 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.
The lucky "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Busters West, 695 S. Maple Road, in Ann Arbor.
"I watched the Michigan Rolldown drawing on television, and compared the winning numbers to those on my ticket," the winner said. "I am very excited to have won the jackpot!"
The 43-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, said he enjoys flying model airplanes in his free time. The lucky man, who works as an automotive technician at TRW, said he kept the ticket in a dresser in his home at all times to ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Dearborn Heights. He added that he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.
Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
