The 43-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, said he enjoys flying model airplanes in his free time. The lucky man, who works as an automotive technician at TRW, said he kept the ticket in a dresser in his home at all times to ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Dearborn Heights. He added that he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
