LANSING, May 10, 2002 – A lucky St. Clair Shores woman recently found herself $10,000 richer upon scratching a Michigan Lottery "Jumbo Jackpot" instant ticket!

The winning ticket was purchased at Meijer #63, 30800 Little Mack Road, in Roseville.

"I nearly had a heart attack when I scratched the ticket and saw I had won $10,000!" the winner said. "I hope the next Jumbo Jackpot ticket I purchase is a million-dollar winner!"

The lucky 64-year-old, who requested anonymity, is a homemaker who said she has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past 29 years—demonstrating that persistence really does pay off! The winner said she kept the winning ticket hidden in the ceiling of her home before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights! She added that she plans to use part of her winnings to make home improvements, share some with her grandchildren and invest the rest.
