Angela Lowe of Taylor Wins $150,000 Big Game Prize; Anticipation Grows as Jackpot Reaches $220 Million For Tomorrow's Drawing!

LANSING, April 11, 2002 – Angela Lowe of Taylor purchased a very lucky "easy pick" Big Game ticket for the April 9 drawing—the first five numbers on Lowe’s ticket matched the first five drawn and she won a $150,000 prize! The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 1, 15, 17, 21, 41 and the Big Money Ball number was 4.

The winning "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Cordial Party Shoppe, 9045 Telegraph Road, in Taylor.

"When I saw the drawing on television and realized the numbers on my ticket matched, I was in disbelief," Lowe said. "When it registered that I actually had won $150,000, I was very happy!"

The lucky 24-year-old lady kept the winning ticket in a plastic carrying case in her purse before claiming her prize at Lottery headquarters in Lansing. Though she has no immediate plans for her winnings, there is no doubt she will enjoy her windfall!

The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 7,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is Friday, April 12, with an expected jackpot of $220 million—the second largest Big Game jackpot ever!
