LANSING, March 27, 2002 – A lucky Lansing lady spelled her way to instant wealth upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Cashword" instant ticket to win a $35,000 top prize!

The winning ticket was purchased at Total Gas Station, 1600 S. Washington Ave., in Lansing.

"I was shocked, stunned and happy all at once when I scratched the ticket and realized I had won!" the winner said.

The lucky 65-year-old, who requested anonymity, works as a home health aide and said she enjoys playing bingo in her free time. She added that she kept the winning ticket hidden in her sock drawer before claiming her prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Lansing, and plans to share her winnings with her children.

"Cashword" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
