Robert Demers of Clinton Township Strikes It Rich With Lottery's "Casino Nights" Instant Game!

LANSING, July 11, 2000 — Robert Demers of Clinton Township recently struck it rich after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Casino Nights" instant ticket to reveal he had won a $10,000 prize!

The 49-year-old winner purchased the lucky ticket at Sunoco A Plus, 35100 S. Gratiot Ave., in Clinton Township.

"When I scratched the ticket off I could hardly believe my eyes," Demers said. "I immediately said out loud, ‘they really do make these big prize tickets!’"

Demers said he enjoys playing Michigan Lottery games. He added that he has been playing Lottery games for the past 27 years and his favorites are Michigan Lotto, The Big Game, the Daily games and, of course, the instant games!

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights, the inspector at Daimler-Chrysler said he kept it in a dresser drawer to ensure its safety. Demers said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills.

"Casino Nights" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
