Donna Bossnard of Troy Can't Believe Her Good Fortune, Collects $150,000 In Lottery's May 9 Big Game Drawing!

LANSING, May 17, 2000 — Donna Bossnard of Troy could hardly believe her eyes when she learned she had matched the first five numbers in the May 9 drawing to win the $150,000 Big Game prize! That day’s winning numbers were: 1, 2, 12, 33, 37 and the Big Money Ball number was 4.

"I watched the Big Game drawing on WDIV-TV 4," Bossnard said.  "I had purchased a bunch of tickets so it took me a while to check them all.  I checked the gold ball numbers first, so I knew that I hadn’t won the jackpot. I was completely surprised and shocked to learn that I had won a $150,000 prize!"

Bossnard purchased the winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket at Rite Aid Discount Pharmacy #4377, 2520 S. Woodward Ave., in Bloomfield Hills.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, Bossnard said she "didn’t let it out of her sight!"

The lucky lady, who works as a certified public accountant, said she plans to donate a portion of her winnings to charity and invest the rest.

The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 6,400 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is Friday, May 19 with an expected jackpot of $12 million.
