April 27, 2000 – Romulus Man Reels In a $100,000 "Casino Nights" Instant Game Prize!

LANSING, April 27, 2000 — An avid fisherman from Romulus recently made the catch of the day when he reeled in a $100,000 prize in the Lottery’s "Casino Nights" instant game!

The 41-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, purchased the winning ticket at Country Market #66, 11301 Brooklyn Road, in Brooklyn.

"I scratched off the ticket in my truck just after I bought it," the winner said. "I was in shock when I realized what I had won! I really like the Casino Nights game because I have been winning prizes pretty regularly. I still can’t believe I won such a big prize — it’s like a dream!"

In addition to fishing, the lucky man enjoys watching wrestling and playing Michigan Lottery games. He said he has only been playing Lottery games for the past six months, and his favorites are the instant games.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing, the winner said he kept it in a file cabinet to ensure its safety. The Romulus man said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and repair his vehicle.

The winner offered the following words of wisdom to other Lottery hopefuls: "The big winner is out there! You just have to keep on playing — you will win big sooner or later!"

"Casino Nights" is one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,300 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
